Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work The Botanist's Garden by Frederick Ronald Williams. The price achieved of AUD 235,000.00 (€ 141,764.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 200,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Ronald Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Upwey Landscape in April 2006 with an auction result of AUD 1,807,000.00 (€ 1,086,862.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Botanist's Garden von Frederick Ronald Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 235.000,00 (€ 141.764,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 200.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Ronald Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Upwey Landscape im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.807.000,00 (€ 1.086.862,40).
