Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hillside, Lysterfield by Frederick Ronald Williams was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2015. The price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,777.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 24,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Ronald Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Upwey Landscape in April 2006 with an auction result of AUD 1,807,000.00 (€ 1,086,862.40).
