Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saplings by Frederick Ronald Williams was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. The price achieved of AUD 101,575.00 (€ 61,094.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Ronald Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Upwey Landscape in April 2006 with an auction result of AUD 1,807,000.00 (€ 1,086,862.40).
