Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For Dancer by Frederick Ronald Williams was sold in the THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION auction at Christies in Sydney in March 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 35,850.00 (€ 21,160.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Ronald Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Upwey Landscape in April 2006 with an auction result of AUD 1,807,000.00 (€ 1,086,862.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study For Dancer von Frederick Ronald Williams wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 35.850,00 (€ 21.160,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Ronald Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Upwey Landscape im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.807.000,00 (€ 1.086.862,40).
