In the Modern and Contemporary Australian ArtIncluding Works by New Zealand and South African Artists auction, the work Marked Grave, Erith, No. 2 sold for GBP 38,900.00 (€ 52,858.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 16,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Ronald Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Upwey Landscape in April 2006 with an auction result of AUD 1,807,000.00 (€ 1,086,862.40).
