This artwork by Frederick Mulhaupt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2006. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work A Road through an Autumnal Grove sold for USD 20,400.00 (€ 16,079.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Mulhaupt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The White Schooner in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 132,419.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Mulhaupt erzielte im September 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit A Road through an Autumnal Grove für USD 20.400,00 (€ 16.079,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Mulhaupt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The White Schooner im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 132.419,01).
