Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nefs Amari, Crete by Frederick Gore was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,851.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Gore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Charlotte Street in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 52,858.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nefs Amari, Crete von Frederick Gore wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.851,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Gore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Charlotte Street im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 52.858,50).
