Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Luberon, Seen From the Steep Downhill Road at Lauris by Frederick Gore. The price achieved of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,289.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Gore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charlotte Street in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 52,858.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Luberon, Seen From the Steep Downhill Road at Lauris von Frederick Gore zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.289,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Gore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charlotte Street im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 52.858,50).
