Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frederick Gore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Les Baux sold for GBP 17,850.00 (€ 21,316.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Gore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Charlotte Street, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 38,900.00 (€ 52,858.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Gore erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Les Baux für GBP 17.850,00 (€ 21.316,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Gore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Charlotte Street beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 38.900,00 (€ 52.858,50) versteigert wurde.
