Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Kingdom of the Future; An illustration for Maeterlinck's, 'The Blue Bird' by Frederick Cayley Robinson was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,900.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Cayley Robinson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British study For Twilight, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 52,933.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Kingdom of the Future; An illustration for Maeterlinck's, 'The Blue Bird' von Frederick Cayley Robinson kam im Februar 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 11.400,00 (€ 16.900,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Cayley Robinson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit British study For Twilight beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 52.933,48) versteigert wurde.
