Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work 'The cat plots against the children' by Frederick Cayley Robinson for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,364.73). This price was achieved in the auction The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Cayley Robinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British study For Twilight in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 52,933.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'The cat plots against the children' von Frederick Cayley Robinson für GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.364,73) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Cayley Robinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British study For Twilight im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 52.933,48).
