Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amphitheatre of "El Gem", Regency of Tunis by Frederick Catherwood was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,408.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Catherwood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work General view of Kabah (Yucatán) in September 2005 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,354.82).
