The work Congested Waters Off Cowes; And Fishermen Hauling In The Nets, Ryde by Frederick Calvert was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The auction ended at the price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,789.76), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Calvert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ports of the English Channel comprising Folkestone, Ramsgate, Cowes and Dover, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,712.92).

Die Arbeit Congested Waters Off Cowes; And Fishermen Hauling In The Nets, Ryde von Frederick Calvert kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.789,76) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Calvert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ports of the English Channel comprising Folkestone, Ramsgate, Cowes and Dover beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.712,92) versteigert wurde.
