It achieved a price of USD 1,290,500.00 (€ 1,063,452.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 29%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederic Leighton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Golden Hours, which sold at auction in June 2016 for GBP 3,274,500.00 (€ 3,930,468.55).

Für andere Arbeiten von Frederic Leighton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Golden Hours beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für GBP 3.274.500,00 (€ 3.930.468,55) versteigert wurde.
