The price achieved of GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,713.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frédéric Dubois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work General Petr (Varfolomei) Andreevich Kikin (1775-1834), in military uniform of black coat with gold-embroidered red collar and gold epaulettes, wearing orders including the red sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Alexander Nevsk, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,127.4
