Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work View to Rabat by Fred Uhlman. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,508.95). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Uhlman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portmerion Bay, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,583.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit View to Rabat von Fred Uhlman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.508,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Uhlman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portmerion Bay beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.583,24) versteigert wurde.
