Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two bottles and pipe by Fred Uhlman was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,247.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fred Uhlman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portmerion Bay in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,583.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two bottles and pipe von Fred Uhlman wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.247,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Uhlman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portmerion Bay im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.583,24).
