This artwork by Franz Xaver Kosler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2010. In the 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale auction, the work Austrian the Elder sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,442.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Xaver Kosler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arrival of the Caravan, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 126,979.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Franz Xaver Kosler erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale wurde die Arbeit Austrian the Elder für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.442,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Xaver Kosler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arrival of the Caravan beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 107.100,00 (€ 126.979,10) versteigert wurde.
