However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Xaver Kosler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arrival of the Caravan, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 126,979.10).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady wearing a black headscarf von Franz Xaver Kosler kam im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 37.318,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Xaver Kosler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arrival of the Caravan beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 107.100,00 (€ 126.979,10) versteigert wurde.
