Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Boats On The Neva by Franz Kopallik. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,218.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Kopallik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Front of The Isaaks Cathedral, St. Petersburg, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 50,650.00.
