This artwork by Franz Kopallik achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2015. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work St Isaac'S Cathedral sold for GBP 28,750.00 (€ 40,537.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Franz Kopallik; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot In Front of The Isaaks Cathedral, St. Petersburg sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of EUR 50,650.00.

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Franz Kopallik; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit In Front of The Isaaks Cathedral, St. Petersburg im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 50.650,00.
