Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work View Of Moscow by Franz Kopallik. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,624.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Kopallik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Front of The Isaaks Cathedral, St. Petersburg, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 50,650.00.
