In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Tsarskoe Selo by Franz Kopallik. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,387.33), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Kopallik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Front of The Isaaks Cathedral, St. Petersburg, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 50,650.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tsarskoe Selo von Franz Kopallik zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.387,33) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Kopallik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Front of The Isaaks Cathedral, St. Petersburg beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 50.650,00 versteigert wurde.
