Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A portait of Karla Novorna by Frantisek Dvorak was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2003. The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,529.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frantisek Dvorak achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Young Artist Playing Tricks in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 191,000.00 (€ 147,058.82).

Die Arbeit A portait of Karla Novorna von Frantisek Dvorak kam im Januar 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.529,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frantisek Dvorak erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Young Artist Playing Tricks im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 191.000,00 (€ 147.058,82).
