Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A cold painted bronze Orientalist figural group of an Arab warrior seated on a camel by Franz Bergman was auctioned at Bonhams in London in February 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,499.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Bergman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Austrian Ottoman Princess Riding An Elephant, A Table Lamp in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,886.82).

Die Arbeit A cold painted bronze Orientalist figural group of an Arab warrior seated on a camel von Franz Bergman kam im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.499,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Bergman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Austrian Ottoman Princess Riding An Elephant, A Table Lamp im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.886,82).
