In February 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Gentleman's Library Sale, which included the work A cold painted bronze of an Arab carpet seller by Franz Bergman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,499.80), 45% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Bergman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Austrian Ottoman Princess Riding An Elephant, A Table Lamp in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,886.82).

Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Gentleman's Library Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cold painted bronze of an Arab carpet seller von Franz Bergman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.499,80) und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Bergman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Austrian Ottoman Princess Riding An Elephant, A Table Lamp im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.886,82).
