Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Portfolio V' by František Drtikol for USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,998.96). This price was achieved in the auction Classic Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by František Drtikol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Temná vlna (The Dark Wave), 1926 in April last year with an auction result of USD 352,800.00 (€ 334,820.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Portfolio V' von František Drtikol für USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.998,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Classic Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von František Drtikol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Temná vlna (The Dark Wave), 1926 im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.800,00 (€ 334.820,16).
