In May 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master paintings, which included the work A River Estuary With A Fortified Village On The Left Bank, A Rowing Boat In The Foreground; A Fortified Town By A River With Fishermen Hauling In Their Nets by Frans de Hulst. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frans de Hulst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zwei kleine Landschaften in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 37,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2009 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Estuary With A Fortified Village On The Left Bank, A Rowing Boat In The Foreground; A Fortified Town By A River With Fishermen Hauling In Their Nets von Frans de Hulst zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans de Hulst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zwei kleine Landschaften im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.200,00.
