In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection, which included the work Wyoming Cattlemen by Frank Tenney Johnson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 550,000.00 (€ 472,224.61), 57% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Wyoming Cattlemen the most expensive artwork by Frank Tenney Johnson that we have observed at auctions so far.
