Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Tenney Johnson could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction, the work An Idle Dreamer 24 1/4 x 30 in. framed 29 x 35 in. changed hands for USD 239,775.00 (€ 232,272.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Tenney Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wyoming Cattlemen, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 550,000.00 (€ 472,224.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
