Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection, which included the work The Sutter Creek Stage by Frank Tenney Johnson. Here, the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 365,000.00 (€ 331,999.27). Other works by Frank Tenney Johnson have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 550,000.00 (€ 472,224.61) in October 2020 for the work Wyoming Cattlemen.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sutter Creek Stage von Frank Tenney Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 365.000,00 (€ 331.999,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Frank Tenney Johnson haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 550.000,00 (€ 472.224,61) im Oktober 2020 für die Arbeit Wyoming Cattlemen beobachtet.
