Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'Domesticity' by Frank Southgate. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,090.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Southgate - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Partridge Alighting On A Corn Field, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,736.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Domesticity' von Frank Southgate zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.090,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Southgate mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Partridge Alighting On A Corn Field beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.736,81) versteigert wurde.
