Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Morning, fishing boats setting out from the beach by Frank Southgate was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 504.00 (€ 739.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Southgate achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Partridge Alighting On A Corn Field in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,736.81).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 504,00 (€ 739,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Southgate erzielen.
