In June 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors: Fine Art Online, which included the work Sunset on the Pont Neuf by Frank Myers Boggs. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,189.63), 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frank Myers Boggs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vue de la Seine, Paris in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 51,250.00 (€ 35,649.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors: Fine Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset on the Pont Neuf von Frank Myers Boggs zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.189,63) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Myers Boggs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vue de la Seine, Paris im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.250,00 (€ 35.649,69).
