Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Blue and Green) (unframed) by Frank Avray Wilson was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 4,096.00 (€ 4,778.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Avray Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wish, which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Blue and Green) (unframed) von Frank Avray Wilson kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.096,00 (€ 4.778,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Avray Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wish beobachtet, die im März 2012 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23) versteigert wurde.
