Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Avray Wilson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Untitled (Yellow and Green) sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,541.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Avray Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wish in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Avray Wilson erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Yellow and Green) für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.541,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Avray Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wish im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23).
