This artwork by Françoise Gilot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year. In the Modern Art + Design auction, the work without title sold for SEK 48,000.00 (€ 4,135.91) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Françoise Gilot erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art + Design wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für SEK 48.000,00 (€ 4.135,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
