Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Deux amies by Françoise Gilot was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,360.00 (€ 14,081.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Deux amies von Françoise Gilot kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.360,00 (€ 14.081,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
