It achieved a price of USD 138,975.00 (€ 130,443.96), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Françoise Gilot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).

Die Arbeit Tulips and Ballerina's Slippers von Françoise Gilot kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 138.975,00 (€ 130.443,96) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
