Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paula dans le Studio avec Philodendron by Françoise Gilot was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 60,855.00 (€ 57,119.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paula dans le Studio avec Philodendron von Françoise Gilot wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 60.855,00 (€ 57.119,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
