This artwork by Françoise Gilot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2014. In the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction, the work Diane-Sphynx (Portrait De Diane Deriaz) sold for EUR 30,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Françoise Gilot erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne wurde die Arbeit Diane-Sphynx (Portrait De Diane Deriaz) für EUR 30.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
