In May this year Bonhams held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Claude XIII by Françoise Gilot. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,850.00 (€ 16,754.27), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Claude XIII von Françoise Gilot zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.850,00 (€ 16.754,27) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
