The work Children in the Garden of Vallauris by Françoise Gilot was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 43,215.00 (€ 40,562.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Françoise Gilot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Forest in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,115,718.32).

Die Arbeit Children in the Garden of Vallauris von Françoise Gilot kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 43.215,00 (€ 40.562,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Françoise Gilot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Forest im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.115.718,32).
