Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Marquis Luigi Grimaldi Della Pietra; Portrait Of Marquise Fanny Grimaldi by François-Xavier Fabre was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,649.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by François-Xavier Fabre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Edgar Clarke, Full-Length, In A Forest in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 248,520.71).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Marquis Luigi Grimaldi Della Pietra; Portrait Of Marquise Fanny Grimaldi von François-Xavier Fabre kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.649,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
