Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Wooded Landscape by François Ryckhals was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,948.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by François Ryckhals have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work Intérieur d'étable was auctioned for EUR 9,400.00.
