Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by François Charles Cachoud could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Ski Sale, Travel in Style auction, the work Le Mont-Blanc, Chamonix changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,066.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Charles Cachoud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paysage nocturne, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 4,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von François Charles Cachoud konnte im Januar 2014 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Ski Sale, Travel in Style wechselte die Arbeit Le Mont-Blanc, Chamonix für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.066,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François Charles Cachoud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paysage nocturne beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 4.000,00 versteigert wurde.
