Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Grange au Saules, nuit clair 25 3/4 x 32 in. (65.0 x 81.5 cm) framed 29 x 35 1/4 x 1 1/4 in. by François Charles Cachoud was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,083.75 (€ 996.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by François Charles Cachoud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paysage nocturne in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 4,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Grange au Saules, nuit clair 25 3/4 x 32 in. (65.0 x 81.5 cm) framed 29 x 35 1/4 x 1 1/4 in. von François Charles Cachoud kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.083,75 (€ 996,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Charles Cachoud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paysage nocturne im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.000,00.
