In the L'âge d'or du rail - Souvenirs de la Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-lits auction, the work Aix-les-Bains, (le lac) changed hands for EUR 225.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Charles Cachoud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage nocturne in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 4,000.00.
