In November 2006 Christies in Milan held the auction Post war and Contemporary Art, which included the work Imbarco K 1886 by Franco Francese. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,952.00 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Franco Francese; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Imbarco K1670 sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of EUR 7,688.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Post war and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Imbarco K 1886 von Franco Francese zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.952,00 und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Franco Francese; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Imbarco K1670 im November 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 7.688,00.
