Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Ventura 1979 by Franco Fontana for EUR 850.00. This price was achieved in the auction Fotografia at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 900.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Franco Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piscina - 1984 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 8,060.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ventura 1979 von Franco Fontana für EUR 850,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fotografia bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franco Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.060,00.
